Canvas Host is a Member Registrar of Nominet, a provider of domain names representing the United Kingdom domain space.
Canvas Host provides website hosting and domain name registration services. Canvas Host reserves the right to suspend or cancel a customer’s access to any or all services provided by Canvas Host when Canvas Host decides that the account has been inappropriately used or otherwise.
Domain Registration Activations
For new customers, as soon as payment is received for a domain name, it is manually registered. For returning customers, a domain is automatically and immediately registered upon payment. The domain name will be registered but may take up to 24 hours to fully propagate on the internet.
Data Validation and Verification
If you are registering a *.UK domain name for your own use, or are a reseller of Canvas Host and are registering a *.UK domain name for one of your customers, please read this page thoroughly to ensure you are in compliance with Nominet’s Terms of Service, which may be found here:
All domain name registrations will be verified for accuracy prior to activation.
Per Nominet’s Data Quality requirements, all registrants of *.UK domains are required to provide complete and accurate contact information for every domain registered.

Prior to being registered, domains that fail either Canvas Host’s and/or Nominet’s respective address verification checks will not be registered until registrant contact information can be corrected. In the event that a domain fails a verification check but is still registered, Canvas Host will inform you of the issue and you will need to provide corrected information. We may ask to verify your contact information using a variety of means, including providing us with a passport or other official form of personal identification; Copies of utility bills or bank statements noting your address; Or other means if those are insufficient.
Canvas Host reserves the right to cancel services at any time. In this event customers will be entitled to a pro rata refund based upon the remaining period of hosting. This excludes domain registration which will not be refunded. If a full refund is given then all rights to the registered domain will pass to Canvas Host. If a customer contravenes Canvas Host’s terms of service a refund will not be issued in the event of a cancellation.
Customers may cancel their account at any time, by giving 30 days’ advance notice in writing. No refunds on the remaining period will be given. Once an account is cancelled, domain name transfers will be your responsibility, and we advise you to apply for a domain name transfer before closing your account or having it closed by us due to non payment.
Fees charged for additional services are on a prepay basis, refunds will be given at the discretion of the company management.

In regards to domain names compaints we will endeavour to resolve your complaint within 5 Business days from first being recorded if you feel that we have not dealt with the complaint in an appropriate manner you can contact the following:
- Centralnic For all .uk.com and .uk.net Issues
- ICANN For all ITLD Issues
- Nominet For all *.uk domain names
Registered users agree that it shall defend, indemnify, save and hold Canvas Host harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including reasonable legal fees asserted against Canvas Host, its agents, its customers, officers and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by customer, its agents, employees or assigns. Customer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Canvas Host against liabilities arising out of; (1) any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with Canvas Host servers; (2) any material supplied by customer infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party; (3) copyright infringement and (4) any defective products sold to customer from Canvas Host servers.
Once registered, domain names cannot be refunded due to us purchasing them on your behalf. They will be your property for the initial first year period.
Technical Phone Support
Our phone line is local to the Northern Ireland region and will be charged at national rates for all other areas. We run an answer service if no one is avaialable this service will text your message to the online support team. We would advsie you use a mobile phone to call as the support team can also Text you back with a quick supply.

We charge for domain name transfers in 2 seperate ways:
All *.UK domain names will not be charged for when transferred into or out of our TAG.
All other TLDs, for example .COM, will be charged at their standard renewal rate.
Expiring and Expired Domains
All domains are renewed at the term they originally were registered, meaning 1-year registrations will be renewed for 1 year, 2-year domains for 2 years, and so forth.
We will send out reminder emails 44 days, 30 days, and 21 days before expiry. We will send the emails to the email address on the account, it is the registrants responsibility to make sure their contact details are up to date. We take no responsibility if your domain renewal fails due to your contact details being incorrect.
Renewals are invoiced 30 days before expiry, and if you have a credit card on file, automatically charged 14 days before expiry. This provides plenty of time to decide whether you wish to have the domain renew, or to instead permit it to lapse. If you do not wish to automatically renew a domain please make sure you contact us before the invoice is processed, by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling us on 0800 081 1815 x3.
If you do not renew your domain before its expiry date it will have all services we provide suspended and you will have up to 30 days (protected period) after to renew the domain name at the original renewal fee. Please log into Online Support to view renewal fees. After 30 days your domain will be suspended and will go into a 60 day grace period which you can still renew your domain name but with an additional redemption fee of £250 GBP. This must be requested by email before the 80th day after your domain has expired, after 90 days your domain will be cancelled and deleted from the register and made available for resale through a third party registrar. Canvas Host will not guarantee the renewal of a domain name.
Transferring Expired Domains to a New Registrant
If during the first 30 days of expiration, you wish to transfer your domain name to another registrant, Canvas Host will permit the domain to be moved to another customer at no additional cost to you. That customer will need to renew the domain through Canvas Host, but at no additional cost to you. In order for Canvas Host to permit this, you must provide us explicit consent as the registrant in advance of the domain transferring out of your ownership.
Canvas Host will not be responsible for any damages your business may suffer. Canvas Host makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services we provide. Canvas Host disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, nondeliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions caused by Canvas Host and its employees. Canvas Host reserves the right to revise its policies at any time.
